Great Oaks College is a specialist independent college which is currently located within Oaklands School. 

In September 2025 we are relocating to two new sites in Sunbury-on-Thames (Surrey) and Hounslow. 

The college provides further educational opportunities to students aged 19-25 with moderate, severe and profound and multiple learning difficulties, many of whom also have other needs such as physical disabilities, sensory impairments and autism. We run three Pathways: Vocational, Life and Living and Engagement for Life. 

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team. Ideally, candidates will hold a Level 2 or 3 qualification and have prior experience working in a classroom setting. However, if you are passionate about this role and available, we may offer training to become an LSA (salary scale 4  Inner London).

The ideal candidate will be calm, patient, and possess strong teamwork skills. A genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) is essential.

Applicants must also be physically fit and willing to support all aspects of personal care, including toileting and feeding.

Pay Scale: Inner London Pay Scale 5 between point 11, £32,817 pa and point 15, £34,779 pa for the full time employee working 52 weeks in a year.

Actual Salary: £23,729 to £25,149 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent – Term Time Only (39 weeks)

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8:30 – 15:15, 30 hours per week.
